Volume 1 - Chapter 1 - Juno

here's lookin at you
I promised. If you guys got us in the top 25 of BuzzComix you'd get more pages. Well, here you go - all the way into chapter 1. But you gotta keep us there! If we fall, the extra page a week stops. If you get us in the Top Ten - you get a special site with three new pages to Book 2 (for those veteren SCDites out there). Thank you so SO much for the awesome support. I'll have new art up there as often as possible. I'm working on a piece for Book 2 right now that is truly awesome.

This is my favorite strip so far. It was a lot of fun to work with. I've gotten a lot of comments and questions on my fireball. Here's how I made mine (basics that I can remember aside from way too much experimetation) : It took me around two hours to figure out. First clouds in Photoshop, blurred or liquified. Adjust hue and saturation. This is when you start to make your additional color layers. I've found it best when working on fire to take color swatches from other fire pictures to match and combine a palatte. To make the flares use your bezier curve tool on its own layer - play with your H&S and motion blur tools. And some of that classic fire flare using small brushes and airbrush techniques. I tell you, experimentation is the key.
