If you're dying for a new obsession check out Dexter which is the new hit series on Showtime. You can watch the first two episodes on there and then be expecting to order Sho if you got cable. Dexter is a sly new cop drama revolving around a charming blood splatter expert (played by Michael Hall from Six Feet Under) who works at the Miami Metro Police by day and is a serial killer by night. The new concept behind this series is the awesome 'not-such-like-God-complex' that Dexter possesses as he only kills people who deserve it by the code of his foster father. There's a lot of quirky narrative throughout the show and so far in the series, massive character development. Dexter is a character with a past, a history and someone that you will just be dying to know more about as the series goes on. Along with a load of playful satire the show will also keep you on your toes. It's probably one of the first shows where the use of a cliffhanger has been done well. And usually I can find at least something negative about the things I recommend/review but this is the one show that has got me. The acting is straight on and very believable by all characters and the scenarios very real. Only one word can sum up this show and that's intense. Seriously check it out and let's pray that this jewel hits DVD.
