HOI- Blix of one of my favorite comics ASPS is in the running for Tokyo Pop's Rising Stars of Manga contest. Her entry is called Romantrophy. Her style is so awesome and her stories are always intriguing and different. American manga needs this kind of talent! And she definitely deserves a publishing chance! So please check her out and if you can vote for her!

I'll be asking the question soon of whether you guys would like to keep the rants on the page. But while it's hard to rant everyday when the comic starts moving to 3x a week and weekly as Book 2 takes on.
I like the redo of this page. This scene ended up with an extra page in its redo and this was it for the most part while some panels were redistributed. It was in the original script but once again cut out for the sake of time and my rush/need to get to chapter 4.
Figurines are still for preorder. Check out what's going on in the forum. I'll be posting neat additions to the figurine like their collector card that's being printed and goodies that the preorder group will be entitled to. I'm expecting them to be finished in April but my shipping timelines aren't set in stone yet so when they'll be to you I'll let you know.
[ORIGINAL RANT from AUG 2004]
Well, before I had this page completed I was going to do a rant on how burned out I am and how artistically pissed off and unsatisfied with SCD I've become. Something about completing this page changed that. I did things a little different on this one as you can probably tell. I applied the old alpha-gradient light effects and changed the way I did the hair. I really thnk that the atmosphere that was lost when SCD switched over the color has been regained in this new way of doing things. If you guys have thoughts on this please feel free to email me or hop over to the SCD section of the forums and express your thoughts.
School started for me this week. It's really put a hold on everything I was attempting to get done. It's also put a wonderful dent in my pocketbook. Books should never have to cost more than your tuition but it looks like they're going to. Not only that, Rally had a gasket go out that I had to replace and this month will be SCD's one year anniversary. All celebrations aside that means I have to pay to register the name again, pay for the forums, the hosting, etc etc. I bitch about money all the time, I know. Money sucks. A word to all of you who are going to in the future attempt to make a successful webcomic: you will become a poor poor bastard! Don't do it! Resist the temptation! lol. Nah, all joking aside if you want to dedicate that much time and money into it because you want to tell your story then it's worth it. That and you get more reason to bitch constantly like I do. ^_-
