Okay, before we start, show the hard workers some love:
VOTE FOR CHEEEEEESEE!
So if you find a world of "wtf!?" then welcome to the new comic section of sXd. I'm still working out kinks. The site was designed on a huge resolution so I didn't expect the navigation to go nuts. It's a simple CSS issue and I should have it fixed by tonight. If you guys notice any other browser issues please please let me know. It's been tested in some Mac browsers but not all and old old Firefox on PC. Internet Explorer people - you are SCREWED. There should be a built in "get firefox" cue for you. If it's not working... well, I guess I'll find out about that. I didn't even test this in IE mostly because I forget there are still people out there who use it. If you have the ability to not use it I suggest you load over something else. If you can't you can switch your bookmarks over to our Drunk Duck Mirror which emulates the old sXd template. Sorry guys but I do the best I can. Hopefully this will work out well for everyone. ^_^
Some things did NOT transfer over to the comic engine well at all. Some CSS totally ate itself. Some things I didn't specify are now randomly showing up. So if there are funky styles about the page itself, I may or may not fix it. Not having FTP on the Mac is becoming a pain.
The page! This page was an add in to this scene right before the book was released. I liked it simply because it showed the reaction of the two people running ahead of Juno and gave more space between Juno's outburst and the soon to be power show. I also like the color and atmosphere of this page. It reminds me a lot of what I'm working on right now with Book 2. Yay, book 2. ;)
And real quick: Storytime with Juno! So I'm on conference with peeps from A-kon till pretty late last night and I so I didn't get to bed until Mike had already gone to bed. He left the light on but on really low so I here I come clunking through the door with the milk to take my meds. I make a ton of noise trying to the door handle and he shoots up, freaking out and chunks his pillow at me from across the room like it was a ninja star. There was a "holy shit!" and some quick equally ninja diversions while screaming, "Mike, it's ME!" I turn on the overhead light and he falls back onto the bed and starts to whine and cry because his chii's been all disturbed. And go to figure I tell him about all that this morning and the boy has no real memory of ever doing it. He thought it was a dream. So thank god, my guy can fling up out of bed and hurl ninja stars at the sound of a burglar but he may cry himself to sleep afterward. XD
And apparently page 95, no matter what version rants are long. This was a nasty time in the comic's life with just getting used to the epilepsy. Drama drama! ^_- Here comes the original!
[OLD RANT FROM OCT 2004
For the record! I am NOT quitting. :P I can't quit guys. For one, that wouldn't be fair, in fact it would be downright selfish. I've brought you this far into this story, I'm not going to just drop you and make you wonder what the hell ever happened. It's not fair to you, it's not fair to the people who pre-ordered the book, and not fair to my characters/story. I'm just angry about the BS and while I wish I could have just dropped the hat, I can't and won't. You guys make this worth it. I'm sorry if I scared ya. Really, I am.
Here's Page 94! I absolutely love that deer in the headlights look of Shades. That next to last panel is actually a really old panel that I was going to use during the drama part earlier on but didn't. Liked it so much, just thought I'd throw it in. ^_^
Oh! And check out our sponser Misfile! It's got cars!! And you all know we love cars! :D Very cool comic - Check it out!
Should be a new month starting again soon at Buzz! Our numbers should reset and we get a new chance to make it to the top ten. Let's do it again! Your present for making it to the top ten for last month is going to be some snazzy wallpaper. I should be able to get that done by next weekend after the race. :D This month, we make it up there early, I'll update two times a week or more if I can, PLUS goodies every week we stay up there. So vote vote vote!
This update you get to see my preliminary sketches and notes! That's a rare thing that I don't I've ever displayed online before. This a sample sketch for page 95.
And now, for those who missed the other rant, here you go:
......
Well, I'm finally back in Dallas after a LONG hold up in my hometown.
If you guys haven't checked out our sponser Ribald Youth, dammit, what's wrong with you?! Awesome work full of dry humor and just plain fun. Check it out!
Rally, my 78 Camaro, and I won second place last weekend at our first ever entrance in the Street Legal Bracket race competition. Can't say enough about that car. She ran her fastest time ever that day as well, was easy to judge how she'd act on the track as the day went on. The race started two that afternoon. I was expecting us to be done at around 5 so I didn't really pack more than a couple sodas. By the time the semi-finals rolled around it was almost ten o' clock at night and I was really wishing I would have had the mind to pack some sandwiches. lol. I kept walking by Rally each time we were called to staging for the next run telling her, "It's okay. This is the last run and we'll go home." thinking each time that we would be eliminated and we would actually get to go home. Rally's never been run like that before since I bought her in June so I was really worried that by the end of the day she'd just be in limp mode. That car never ceases to amaze me. And yes, that is me in that last photo so for all those who have been wondering, yes, I am female. You'd be amazed how many emails I get asking me that. lol. ^_- You can read more about the adventure in the forums here. I'll also be throwing a ton of pictures up in the Photo section of the forums later so I'll add them on to this rant when they get up.
Now, if you skipped over that long paragraph, you might want to read this one.
As the comic... well, unfortunately a world of trouble has decided to take over my life. I have at several points considered quitting. I still am... but I can't. Wish I could, as harsh and sad as that might sound. That might come as a surprise to some of you... but some of you... perhaps one or two have actually heard my reasoning behind that. I lost my job last week because of the Epilepsy being out of control. I might be losing my apartment soon as well. The comic hasn't really been of any help due to some unwanted criticism that I'd wished I would have not brought upon myself because I wanted to defend a fellow artist. I got the panels laying all over the floor for the rest of the chapter on cheap ass printer paper. I've been stepping over them since I got back. I think the only good thing that's come out of this week, the race excluded, is that I might be getting my Daytona fixed because my little Neon has finally gotten so unreliable that it can't be driven in Dallas. So yeah, NOT a good week for me.
I'd like to thank all the people who randomly donated last month. This rant has been stewing in me for the last couple updates, hence my lack of rantage. The money you guys gave really helped a lot so a huge hug and thanks to ya.
And holy hell! We made it to NUMBER TEN on Buzz!! Be expecting a happly little gift from me soon! Let's hold this position, eh? And a new month is about to begin! Get us in the top ten early on and I'll do my best to start updating twice a week for ya AND I'll give ya presents.
Oh! We're almost to #10! We only need a couple hundred more votes! Remember, you can vote everyday!
Hopefully I'll have the comic up soon. Sorry if I don't but at least now you know why.

And I look so sexy with my Juno icon there. I'm comfortable with my masculinity. Are you? Oh, yeah.
