I dream of Kiwi

VOTE BECAUSE YOU'RE A NICE PERSON!

So this page was only possible because Xero webified it for me. So you go to his website Swordwaltzer and freaking show him love!

So here starts the countdown to when Adobe stops keeping Photoshop away from everyone. That'll be April 20th. Until then we might as well go back to a sporadic schedule with a guarantee of at least 2 pages a week. My FTP did start working though btw. I will try to see what I can do to start fixing this site. I don't really have an editor for all that but there are some okay free ones.

So New Zealand environmentalists are suggesting, that since rabbits are disruptive to the Earth, that for Easter the ground friendly Kiwi bird be put into the ranks. Now obviously the rabbit, which was introduced in Germany back in the 1500s has its Pagan roots, but in New Zealand where the rabbit was actually physically introduced in the 1900s it has no true connection to the holiday and less to the country. Since their introduction they've caused damage to the vegetation and terrible erosion not to mention they breed constantly. In fact, random factoid: There was even an illegal virus put out in 1997 that caused rabbits to bleed to death. Yeah, they really don't like them much at all. But the Kiwi! I love kiwis personally. And apparently, as I found out via cnn.com, a kiwi is much more fitted for the role. After all if you laid an egg six times larger than normal I think you'd get a reputation and Easter connection too. XD

So that's your useless information for the day. The old rant is a bitchrant from back in the day of when Juno was getting called goth. For the win.

[OLD RANT FROM NOV 2004]
For the Pike pinup that was up as a filler click here.

I am VERY happy with the destroying of that heli! Hell, it' only took SIX damn hours! XD

And now, I'm going to bitch. I don't really do that often but I'm entitled to this time...

You know what I hate? What I LOATHE? What pisses me off so much that I want to violently slap the person that said it? When some reader makes a comment in a forum saying, "Well, the main character is 'OMG so goth stereotypical. But the art is great!' -_-" Let me tell you something, kid- Don't you even dare group MY character Juno into your stupid little cliques. You want stereotypical goth, go to the mall and look at those little teenyboppers that dress in black just to "scare" people. They have no idea about true Goth culture, they listen screaming music (probably have no idea who SwitchBlade Symphony or even VNV Nation), and think they're lords of darkness. Or better yet, why don't you go say hi to some of the members of the New Orleans Gothic Organization? I'm sure they'll give you a nice lengthy rant about it too. Juno is NOT "goth" - oh my GOD she wears a trench coat and is angsty and bitter! That automatically classifies her into that category? I wear a trenchcoat and dye my hair weird colors too and you want to know what happened to the last idiot that called me, "Oh you think you're so scary, little goth girl?" I bet you can guess... So for god's sake, dump your god damn cliques at the door and read the story for what it is, not for what my characters look like.

Oh and another thing, if you're reading this story for the art, piss off. My art sucks compared to what it could be and is ultimate bottomfeeding shit compared to what this story is. The art is what makes this story lose its dignity. So yeah, that's my bitchrant for today. Hope I didn't offend too many people by finally speaking my mind for once.

On a lighter note, I've gotten most of the beginning redone for the book. :D Got about 100 pages of sketches (no exaggeration) on the floor here. :D I might be considering auctioning off some of my original inks on Ebay and maybe some of the traditionally colored panels I've done. We're really short on cash since I'm moving again. *sigh* I hate to do that but I have no choice. I'm also adding several things to the store such as more posters (and cheaper ones too), lunchboxes, more sketchbooks (this one of Pike will be an option), button sets, and stickers. :D

Oh! Oh! And I saw The Incredibles tonight! FUCKING AWESOME! The rendering!!! *faints!* God, it made just drool all over the place! And how they did the explosions and fire like that... and the hair! Man... that's some sweet software they got going on there. First action movie from that studio and I have to say, I'm completely breathtaken! But what MADE the movie - the preview for Pixar's next movie! CARS!!!!! You can already bet what I have planned for the day that comes out November 2005. :D I'll have to do fanart. XD If you haven't seen Incredibles yet, get off your ass and see it. It's definitely worth it.
