Got Milk?

VOTE BECAUSE JUNO'S SAD! Read below. It's funny. wink

So apparently my body has become pissy about lactose. And you would think that with the epilepsy and the fibromyalgia that of all things that could be wrong with me, this would be a godsend and the last thing on my mind. And unless you really know me you’d probably think right. Who would think that, as I come shortly into my mid-twenties, that being unable to drink the pacifying nectar would either be such a big deal or such a surprise? Honestly, I thought the day would never come. And honestly, I’ve always kind of feared that it would. My mother can’t drink milk and neither can my father but being adopted a opted for the optimistic approach that I would always be able to drink milk.

I’m addicted you see. I, since I was a kid, have been drinking around 3 to 4 glasses a day. I have issues with water and always have and now can blame the epilepsy so to keep myself hydrated I drank skim milk which due to the lesser amount of cream was actually a pretty good substitute and vitamins to boot. Since I didn’t get out in the sun much milk kept me from getting Rickets. I developed dependacy on it becoming unable to eat certain foods like biscuits or peanut butter without a looming tower of milk.

Over the last week or so I’ve been just feeling nasty. Bloated even (juno fact you didn't want to know!). And the burps? Well, they could be a party trick they’re so incredible. I can’t remember if it was Mike or me who brought up that maybe I was becoming lactose intolerant. It had to have been him. So we took me off milk for a day. Granted the day itself wasn’t a real fair example because I was siezing throughout it but I was cranky and pissy and on the side of pathological come nightfall. The next morning I had my fucking glass of milk and a good hour of discomfort thereafter.

The moral of this story kids is when you have kids, tell them: Kid, don’t do drugs and you don’t have to finish that milk. Because afterall, who would have thought that milk withdrawal would cause a person to want to strangle everyone else? I sure didn’t. I’m going to go continue to cry and burp now.

I kept forgetting to link this!! In November I did an interview for Enchanted Visions, a fantasy e-zine. You can check it here. Lots of interesting questions and discussion. Have a question of your own or want to discuss the interview? Feel free to pop in this thread and give me a shout. While your there - check out the whole site. It's very good.

Very very tired. *sigh* May not sound it but I am. Life can just be so draining sometimes... But I won't drag you guys down with details on that crap.

I finalized the cover. Still a bunch of touchups I have to make. Wanna see it? You can if you skip on over and vote. ^_^ Also up is a preview of Page 98. Two bonuses this week!

Remember, if you get us into the top ten of BuzzComix I'll update twice a week again as well as give you guys goodies like more wallpapers, etc. We're still at #1 on the Wecomics List so let's hold that spot! big grin
Next page is looking like Thursday/Fridayish. I got a trip I got to plan so it's going to be based a lot around that. Watch the little countdown to be sure when to check back. ^_^

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?!?

Yeah, yeah, I'm late. What can I say? I have a day job... Anyway, Ferris Bueller... (if you don't know who he is, go get his movie) - There is a guy that I would vote for President. He had his priorities straight that’s for sure. And why is it, that we are already hearing about Presidential election 2008?!? Isn't it bad enough that Christmas is put up in stores before Thanksgiving and is now encroaching on Halloween? I mean really. Who wants to hear these nuts go on about what every one else is doing wrong and how they will fix it.

Candidates should only be allowed to run for 6 months prior to elections. That would give people time to actually focus on what the hell is going on and maybe remember what each candidate is saying they support.

As it is, it's a broken system. Each party is going to decide who is best for the American public to vote for, and we end up getting left with damned if you do and damned if you don't. Great choices don't you think? Just like the last elections. I didn't want to vote for either one of the candidates, but I eventually picked one and now have a count down clock on my computer to let me know how much longer I'll have to put up with his sorry butt.

Speaking of things that are sorry... For those of you who don't know, I'm a Fed (Federal Employee of the United States Government), with a badge... ok, ID. Anyway, my ID is about to expire and so I put in the form to get a new one, and am told I have to turn in my old one. "But what do I use in the meantime?" I ask... Well, I have to suck it up and use my driver license, sign in where ever I go, and get a sticker that says "Hi, I'm Mike"... It's not like the damn ID is worth the plastic its printed on. It can't even get me into a Federal Building without getting the same strip search that every Jo Blow gets (you need a special ID to get around that). Why can't they just send me the new one, and then get the old one back after that? It's not like some terrorist could possibly use the damn thing to get into the Pentagon and steal President Bush's boxers or something... I mean, get real. About all it's good for is showing the clerk at hotel I am a Federal Employee to give me the Federal rate. Anyway, my agency's security department (including the IT section) act as if I am carrying around the launch codes for a US Nuclear launch. Don't get me started about the computer security... for the love of god...
